Weekend Assignment

But before I get offline, my weekend assignment. On Thursday. *gasp*

Weekend Assignment #43: Congratulations, you've become your own soverign state! Design a flag for the United States of You, using no more than three colors and one symbol (the symbol can be of any color). Explain your design choices. Don't worry about actually making the flag -- you can just tell us about it.

Extra credit: make a picture of the flag. Because, let's face it, that's time-intensive.

Sorry, I would reduce the size but I don't want to mess with the dimensions again. If anyone knows how to change the size and not mess with the ratio of length to width, please tell me. Oh, and I'm happy. I did that all without looking at directions. So, yay! Now, onto the explaination.

The black is because I like black backgrounds. And it represents the dark periods that I go through. The blue and pink is because I like the combonation. They're in squiggly lines because it's unique, like me. The "symbol" is a picture I got off this site. It says, "Believe in the might of your dreams." but this picture doesn't show it. I truly believe in the might of my dreams. Even those that will never happen (such as becoming a ballerina, I would have had to start way before now) are mighty. The unicorn represents those dreams. It represents happiness and harmony and hope to me. The rainbow shows my dreams and my innocence. What does your flag look like? Oh, and if you don't have that PTP thingy or whatever it's called, you can ues paint, like I did. See, I'm quite creative when I gotta be. Maybe I should use somma that creativity to my editorial or some other classwork.

Love always,
Vickey

I used to have a poster like that on my wall when I was a little girl.  It was a pegasus and it said 'Let your dreams take flight.'  Matter of fact I think I might still have it.....hmmmm.
very creative doll ;)

I reduced your flag a bit, but it didn't look as good, so you should probably leave it alone.  But one way is to check how many pixels height and width you have (in the program you used to make it, or right-clicking it as displayed). Then you can multiply both numbers by the same fraction (.5 or .75, something like that), and type those numbers into the height and width of your <img> tag in HTML. Have fun!
